Christmas Day Dinner

and St. Timothy's Episcopal Church

The halls are decked and the choir is rehearsing carols once more! As this Christmas brings back a bit more of our “old normal,” the Compassion and Service Team at First Christian is excited to announce that we will be serving a hot meal to our community on Christmas!

​Keeping health and safety in mind, we will be serving serve take-out meals through the outside door in the Fellowship Hall, instead of inviting folks in for a sit-down meal. We are hopeful that next year will be different, but look forward to offering as much hospitality as we can.

VOLUNTEER

The day of the dinner, volunteers are WELCOMED from all around the area, regardless of gender, age, sex, race, class, religion, ethnicity, ability, language, sexual orientation or gender identity.  The only restriction will be for those handling food items due to the proximity.

​All of these volunteer opportunities take place at First Christian Church Education Building (next to the sanctuary). 207 Tarboro Street North at the corner of Vance and Tarboro Streets. 

PRIOR to Dinner

Gift bag set-up: Monday, Dec. 13th at 5:30 pm 

Gift bag filling (can be seated): Tuesday, Dec. 14th at 5:30 pm 

DAY OF the Dinner

Luncheon Set-up: Dec. 25th at 10:30 -11:30 am

Preparing Plates (must be vaccinated for COVID-19;
can arrange for this to be seated): Dec. 25th at 11:00 am

Food runners (must be vaccinated for COVID-19; will be on your feet):
Dec. 25th at 11:00 am 

Food servers (must be vaccinated for COVID-19; will be on your feet):
Dec. 25th at 11:00 am

Guest Line Greeters (will be on your feet):
Dec. 25th at 9:00 am;
second shift at 11:00 am 

Hot coco servers in the line (must be vaccinated for COVID-19; will be on your feet):
Dec. 25th at 10:30 am
