MR. JIM BOSWELL’S 105TH BIRTHDAY
by contributing to the 
BOSWELL TRIBUTE for VETERANS RESIDENTIAL SERVICES


​Lifelong Wilsonian James Marshall Boswell, First Christian Church Elder Emeritus,
​World War II Pilot, Recipient of the Distinguished Flying Cross and the Air Medal,
will be 105 years old on February 2, 2024!  

     Help us to mark this momentous occasion
​by supporting Mr. Boswell’s fellow veterans.  
​
     Veterans Residential Services of Wilson provides services to veterans in Wilson and the surrounding counties with the goal of residential stability and support for other critical needs.  Since 2012, VRS has served 878 veterans and their families. In the 2022-23 program year, VRS helped 27 veterans move from homelessness to stable housing and provided food assistance to 7,653 veterans and their families.  VRS relies on community support to help provide these services to some of our most vulnerable veterans.

  • Drop by First Christian Church, 207 Tarboro St NE,  at one of the times below and drop off your check or cash donation.  If you stop by you will also have the opportunity to sign Mr. Boswell’s Birthday Card!
    • 10 AM - Noon  :  Saturday, January 20  or  Saturday, January 27
    • Before or after 10 AM worship on Sunday, January 21 or January 28

On Mr. Boswell’s Birthday, we will inform him of the total amount of contributions to VRS 
and the list of identified contributors as well as, of course, the 105th Birthday Card!
