Bridget Bryant
We welcomed Bridget into the life of First Christian just recently in December! She is retired from Wake county but still enjoys teaching here in the Wilson area. She teaches all things science from general science to biology to Earth environmental at Wilson Prep. She enjoys summers at Atlantic Beach, is a part time writer and does close up magic with kids! Melissa Denton
Melissa's face is not new around FCC! We welcomed Melissa Denton by transfer as a member of First Christian Church on November 28, 2021. She has been an integral part of our ministry for sometime now, in particular with her leadership at our Vacation Bible School in 2021. Here are a few more things about Melissa!
Melissa graduated Mount Olive College where she was a four-year collegiate athlete. She began her career as a sports editor. Her passion for working with youth and the families in the community grew, and in 2006 she shifted her career path to the educational sector as a lateral entry English teacher. Melissa has taught students in grades 9-12 on all academic levels and was the head coach of the junior varsity softball team and assistant coach for the varsity team. Melissa’s passion for leadership and education are evident as she works part-time as a teacher with NRMPS’s Evening Academy providing educational and behavioral interventions for students, and in her spare time, she serves as the First Vice President of the Beta Theta chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma, a professional honor society of key women educators worldwide. She will complete her Principal Residency at both Nashville Elementary School and Williford Elementary School during the 2021-2022 school year. Welcome, Melissa!
